Default Hood Ratles at high Speeds

my hood latch is lose and so the hood ratles above 45 and makes an annoying noise.

how can i tighten up the latch or get it to stay closed better? There arnt any gaps when its closed, but the hood does give a little when you try to lift it.

does the whole latch need to be replaced or is there somewhay to tighten in?

better check on that asap. dont wanna worry you but there was one time i was riding in the passenger seat of my friend's car when the hood flipped and smashed the windshield. we weren't going very fast...probably 40KM/h. not sure what exactly caused the hood to flip, but it does happen.

i'll bungie it down for now, get it fixed later. $380 estimate

why didn't you fix it? you're known for being an idiot and paying obscene prices for simple fixes.

I cannot fix it myself.

I am not going to go to some cheap chop shop for repairs.

so what would you recommend?

Do our hood latches generally suck? Mine vibrates at idle and its annoying as hell. You cant really hear it outside but its noticeable inside.

I have a shakey hood. Whenever I hit a bump, it vibrates like hell broke loose. My latch is as far down as it goes. Is there another way to fix this?

Only way by fixing it is doing it the right way. Other "jerry rig" ways will only prolong the hood from samashing your windshield in and causing more damage, but hey its only your guys decision to fix depending how important you believe it is.

well with me they need to replace that T brace or whatever.

its $380 because they have to remove the bumper and the radiator to get to it, so yeah, its called labor.

if you cant do it, pay someone else to. very simple.
while im at it, i'll probably have them replace the front bumper, its in terrible shape. inner shield is missing, its cracked, paint is fading and lots of nicks on it. will only cost another $300 for that

I figured out that my hood has a bent "brace" on the the underside, causing the hood not to align and to shake even though it is fully latched. I think ill be fine, but will eventually get a cf and paint part of it.
