Default Teins... I need some help deciding which ones I need.

Hey guys! I decided from all the negative feedback about megan coilovers to sell them. I'm gonna get tein coilovers, but I'm not sure which ones to get. This is for my daily driver. I want the car to handle the best possible way. Thanks a lot for any input (positive).

Why are you selling the Megan's? They're a pretty decent coilover.

But, anyways, I'd recommend the Tein Flex's, because I'm into track performance.

I'm selling them for a couple of reasons. The first one being they are used (5,000k miles). Second, I've been reading all over (and here) that they're not that great. AND I've been reading and heard from friends that teins are the way to go.

I don't go to the track at all. I did a bunch of times when I had a 94 cobra (few years ago). I don't plan on going either. I have my kids car seat in the back. Don't think that would look to good at the track. I'm really the kind of guy that HAS to have the best. So intially I thought about getting the flex coilover and 'that gadget' the lets you control the damper from the driver seat. But I thought, do i really need that? Whats the name of that device? I was just looking at it and I lost the page. So , which ones do i really NEED?

Tein Super Street's would be perfect.

he devise is called an edfc. i have tein flex coil over. if your ever driving on bumpy roads don't get them. its a rough DD. i would tell you to get the basics. still a great coil over. tight enough to handle but loose enough to be smooth. and if you got a kid. you mgiht rattle his brains with the flexes!!! lol

You can use your car's stock upper mounts, or buy the front pillow mounts and use the stock rear upper mounts. I would buy the front pillow mounts, for easy camber adjustment.

hey Matt. are the ss coil overs good. I've herd they are kind like the basterd child for tein because the focused more on the flex and the basics for marketing reasons.

If I could do it all again and my car was an honest to goodness daily, I wouldnt bother with coilovers. Just get shocks and a deicent set of progressive springs, your back will thank you later.

The SS are EDFC compatible too right? If it is, I'll just order those together. Someone let me know please. Thanks.

Moton dampers with Swift springs and Hotchkis top mounts will trump any of those setups. Of course, that kind of setup would require about $5,000.

Zeal's can run about $2500 for a set. Not cheap at all, but Moton has them trumped.

it's the aspect and the tuning of the coils.. the rears are a bitch to adjust in damping.. and that saves the hassle...
