Keyless Entry Owns me
Ok i got my 97 integra used without a keyless entry remote, so to lock my doors i just hold the handle open and click down on the lock button. Unfortunately my dumb *** has accidentally locked my keys in the car twice. Now if i had a remote, i would break this habit, and therefore when the keys are left in the ignition for whatever reason, i wouldn't lock it..
So long story short, i picked up a remote from acura, went to go program it, and it didn't work. So now the dumb question. Is it possible that my integra, that has power locks, in unable to have keyless entry? Seems pretty stupid if that is the case considering my civic does, and the integra is supposed to be a superior model. Tell me i'm missing something simple here otherwise i guess i have a remote for sale since acura doesn't accept returns on special ordered parts!

If it didn't come with keyless entry, then you can't just by the remote and expect it to unlock your doors...

lol its kinda like having a alarm remote without an alarm installed on your car. u need to make sure u actually have keyless installed for your remote to work
on team integra.net there's some instructions that i used which basically consisted of turn the ignition on and press a button on the remote and then turn the ignition off, and repeat until the locks cycle and then do it one more time. Or something like that. I just think it's pretty stupid if keyless entry was an option on an acura
So if i don't have it, i guess i need to try to sell this remote? Anyone want it?

Take it to the market place. Or take it back to Acura for selling you a part that was not applicable to your car regardless of special order.
