Hi everyone, I am new here, but i have read and search a lot about ls vtec, so anyone can let me know if my set up is gonna be ok. I have and ls vtec, and now i gonna put a p30 piston in the ls block, and i gonna use 2 layer head gasket, so my question is: the valves will hit the piston or not? any suggestions will be appreciate!

 

you should mention what crank, rods, cams and head modification you have

 

i highly doubt it with stock cams. but if your running aftermarket and are unsure of block and head history, clay the motor.

thank you for your reply. well, i use the ls bottom end, ls crank, ls rod, gsr head, and gsr cam. I think later i gonna up grade the cam (skunk2 pro2) valve springs and retainer, and cam gear. So do U think the valves gonna hit the piston?

 

you're gonna have to check clearances with pro2's anyway. they're big cams.
