Default Looking to get rid of my stock muffler.

1995 Honda Accord 2dr LX

I just need a catback exhaust system that sounds quiet with a removable silencer, and somewhat quiet without it, yet gives me some perfomance. Nothing too loud though.. I dont want to attract the cops attention. Also, I need something that can pass smog flawlessly so that I dont need to change back and forth with the stock muffler every 2 years or so. Preferrably a single exhaust pipe.

Any brands you can recommend? I'm looking into the Magnaflow series, but you can suggest something else.

agreed

honestly no major "performance" gain will be felt with a catback exhaust on the ol stocker, id say save ur money and invest in something else. Suspension would be my suggestion if u havent done so already.

You're only going to gain noticeable performance if you open up both the intake and header + exhaust. Tanabe super medallion is pretty quiet and comes with a silencer, plus its' stainless steel.
