Default CAR WON'T START!

Again... another problem with this Honda Prelude 1997 Automatic. Here's the issue:

The car won't start. The headlights won't come on. Nothing. The dashboard of the car goes completely vacant and it keeps on doing this clicking sound when I try to start the car. Also, none of the power operated stuff in my car is working.

However... when the issue occurs, if I left it alone for maybe a few hours, the car starts working again.

I'm thinking that it is the battery... but I'm quite not sure about that and don't know how to get that tested. Any advice?

So what you are saying is that it works sometimes. Butwhen it dont work there is no electric at all.

Clean your battery terminals off and make sure you check all your fuses.

You can take your battery to an auto store to get it checked out.

Ignition switch is going out. Thats my guess my car did this last week and it was the culprit.

that happened to me before on my 93, turned out that one of the grounds were just BARELY grounding itself out somewhere, not sure the real problem, but that was it. Try taking your battery completely out, cleaning it off (testing it too), then putting it back in and re-connect all the terminals and ground. You'd be surprised what you might find lurking under there that could be messing you up.
