I'm going to be replacing the alternator in my '90 Civic soon because the bearing is about shot. I'm wondering which would be better to get, an OBD0 or OBD1 alternator? I have an OBD0-OBD1 conversion with a stock P28 running a D16Z6. No big stereo or anything to heavily draw on the alternator.
differences:
OBD0 60 amp ~$85 w/ core return (reman. unit w/ lifetime warr.)
OBD1 70 amp ~$130 w/ core return (reman. unit w/ lifetime warr.)
I guess what I want to know is would it be better (and worth the extra money) to buy the more powerful OBD1 alternator since I have an OBD1 engine, ECU, and sensors?
