Default Eagle Rods & Crankshaft, Thoughts?

So I'm thinking of upgrading to Eagle H Beam Rods in my LS/Vtec, should I get the lightweight Eagle Crankshaft or is it pointless? junk?

What is a better Crankshaft if the Eagle is junk?

I'm trying to stay all motor, so maybe they are overkill...

Also does anyone know how much it would cost to have the Crank + Rods or just Rods installed?

Thanks!

For the money you should stay with the Ls crank and get it balanced. With rods, rod bolts and balanced crank, your bottem end will be in good shape. I have seen many Ls/v motors w/o a balanced crank and run very well.

the only way i would use an aftermarket crank shaft would be if i was going to stroke the motor.

i use eagle h-beams and i dont have a problem with them and there pretty strong.

but there are other better alternatives than the h-beams. carillo makes a nice and light n/a rod which i would look into. the h-beams are a pretty heavy rod.

if ur looking to stroke the motor i would look into http://www.briancrower.com

if your stock crank is still good, have it micropolised and balanced.

I don't really know about you guys but eagle is on about the bottom of the list of rotating assemblies I would use. I would feel much more comfortable with Crower or something along those lines.

Personally if you are on a budget, I would use the stock ls crank, micro polished and balanced, Carrillo Pro A Beams or Crower Max Lites and RS Machine 84.5mm pistons.

I run the lightened eagle stroker crank with eagle H rods and JE pistons on 10lb boost daily driven and I have had no issues. I was a bit worried about the balance when I saw just how much they machined from the counter weights, but the entire assembly was only 4 grams out.
