I've got a 92 civic hatch on some god know what coilovers...They are probably dropped 2.5-3inches. But its time for an upgrade. I want to get the whole thing replaced with new stuff all the way around and still be able to have the 3inch drop and still ride comfortably.
Of course best bang for your buck setup. I dont do any autocross. Just everyday street car with more track use as the money comes in.My budget is $850.
I dont know a whole lot about suspension and dont make my way into this forum often so this is probably a question thats asked pretty regularly/has been beaten to death. so if ya can give me any input..maybe just help me find a link. thanks

Try AMR engineering, they are within your price range, and they can provide you with soft spring rates with a properly valved damper that has a lifetime warranty. Although I must admit you start running into "issues" once you start to lower your car within your target ride height, such as slamming your upper control arms on the shock towers, rubbing, and possibly bottoming out due to soft spring rate, although if you roll where roads a smooth as glass, then you shouldn't have any issues. You may want to hurry with your order cuz I just read that they are about to raise prices because of increased prices of manufacturing materials.

Low height, comfortable ride, competent handling. Pick two. You can't have all three, especially for $850. What is important to you?
Why is it "time for an upgrade"? What problems or shortcomings are you having with your existing coilovers?

Targa is right. There are many, many options. Just read through some of them. It sounds like you are going to have to compromise though on certain things if you want your car that low...

I dont know how much of a drop im looking for but with the top of the tire even with the lip of the fender is what it is now and would want that back. The person before me traded the coilovers on the front for cut springs (dont know why) and I want new stuff all the way around cause its making a wierd rattling noise on the passenger side that has gotten worse over time. its like everytime i hit a bump that dips down or if im going like 5mph through a parking lot and tiny bumps just rattle it and it sounds like crap.
sound like a heat shield rattling but its not. Im not looking for the best handling. Just dont want the handling to get worse but i figure that with new stuff that it cant get any worse

if you're only going three inches there are ways around the shocks bottoming out, and the upper control arms hitting the inner fender/shock tower, its just going to take more work. You should be able to get a good ride out of a car at that height.
Extended top hats and search for the "fork trick", both of those will help with more suspension travel if its that important to you.
