Default Selling my 07lx to get an Si

So my car is an 07 lx coupe with 2,800 miles and counting. I have the title and I have it on auto trader. I got a call from a ford dealership and they offered to buy my car for 15,500. So now im getting quotes on an Si and the best i could find is an 08 black fg2 for 21,700. You guys think this is a good price. If ive done my math right it is going to be 7,900 difference including tax and license. What do you think?? Any advice is appreciated. Im probably going to finance so my payments should be anywhere from 200 - 240 a month for 36 months.

Thanks in advance

Have u tried talking to the dealership about trading it in and getting an SI? I think sometimes the dealer will give you a better price. Because my friend traded in his 06 EX and I think he got a pretty good price on the SI. I'm not quite sure but just my penny

See what CarMax will give you for it. Use that to kind of base your price, and go to Honda dealerships and see what they'll give you. You get a tax credit for trading in to a dealership that you buy a car from, so remember that when you are selling.

closest carmax to me is like 2 hours away. Do they give you a fair price or do they typically low ball people. Just trying to figure out if its worth the drive.

Well, I guess you could just look at KBB.com and see what you can get for "Good" Value and above(unless your car isn't in good condition). Carmax offered me that, although I did have some dings and scratches on my Civic. As you can also see, I have a dog, so there was some dog hair on the seats.
