damn that thing is pretty sick pretty interested to know what trans you are using as well.

we built a B20 Vtec turbo 2 seater sandrail right now . trans we are using is a VW bus trans with kennedy adapter plate, Accel DFI for engine management. t3/t4 setup.

It uses a Mendeola 2D transaxles....

"Mendeola Transaxles sells more MD4-2D units than any other model, affectionately known by trans builders and duners alike as the ‘2D.’ The 2D is the most used aftermarket transaxle in the recreation vehicle market. Almost every sand buggy and off-road chassis manufacturer has the 2D available on their line as standard equipment or an option. There are three choices of ring and pinion ratios combined with 17 main shaft sets (1st and 2nd), thirteen 3rd gears and twenty 4th gears making this model a ‘Universal Fit.’"

Didnt think HT would be interested in race buggies w/ honda motors.... but since you guys seem to be... here's a few more that are powered by B16a motors

b16a are pretty popular w/ class 10 buggies because the class limits engine displacement to 1600cc, orginally intended for 1600cc vw motors...

I keep bugging my dad to build another sand rail with a honda motor in it. We have a VW powered one right now,

Do you know where to get the Honda motor to VW tranny conversion plate?

ya the CORR buggies are sick. We've built several B16 race engines for a similar class.

unique..... but i would like some info on the motor.... are there rules as to why they are using just 1 carb?

that carb is killing power working alone....

also i would assume its on vtec killer cams since you cant tune for the high/low cam with carbs.....

</TD></TR></TABLE> Why not? You just need a good supply of emulsion tubes.

but the flow with just 1 is hurting power in the upper revs

</TD></TR></TABLE> Who cares? If everyone has the same size carb and chokes, THAT be the rules. Takes a little more work than just buying parts off E-bay, but much more satisfying.

The rules require 1 twin barrel carb and certain choke sizes, plus a max displacement.

Miss understood your question. Different pats of the country have different choke sizes in the rules, IE the amount of air allowed in the engine.
