I can tell most of you are sick of questions like this and I've hesitated to ask, but I've just about had it. Bought a 1996 DX witha hydro locked engine. Swapped in a USDM low mile D16Y7 short block. With new battery, it started up nice. Will run for 5+/- minutes and then the idle lopes. Disconnect negitive battery wire and engine dies. Ripped alternator out, tested out at 14+ volts. No CEL (and it will shoot a code if I make it, so it works). Any ideas?
