Default Quick Power for an EP.

I'm picking up a EP pretty soon and I know it only has 160 hp so I was thinking about changing out the cams right away and then getting the Hondata reflash.
What woudl be a good pair of cams to get?
Any other sugjestions on how to free up some power in an EP?

Okay well the main question is, " What is your power goal?"

Also i agree with Master23 KPRO is much more useful than the Hondata Reflash. It will allow you to tune your car according to the modification you have or will make in the future. Believe me it's worth it!

Cams, you can only go stage 1 if you don't have KPRO.

Also you may want to look into maybe a Jackson Supercharger. Because it will give you the power you are looking for reliably.

You are only making about 130-135 WHP with your current setup! 160 HP is at the crank not to the wheels.

y jump so fast to cams...

imo start with

cold air intake
catback exhaust
header
then Kpro
then get ur cams.

your gonna want more dense air flow if ur gonna get cams.

These are two easy to install parts on the intake manifold that will gain you some decent Hp.

I plan on getting cold air and stuff that helps the engine breath better, but thats like bolt on stuff, i was looking at cams as the first thing to get as in building the motor.

...135 to the wheels, those are some discouraging numbers makes me not want to get an EP anymore :/ but i probably still will, i'm not really into drag racing really.

bolt-ons will help alot, get the basics i/e/h and kpro. then start to think if your wanna go more NA or if you wanna boost.

i just decided to get an ep3 so those are the steps i am taking and those are the steps i was advised to do from people on HT.

This is CRAP! Any one who spent the money on the plenum spacers and throttle body spacers didn't see any gains. It's not going to help if your motor cannot move that much air. Don't waste your money!

I have never got to dyno one on a EP3 yet, but on the K20A, and K20A2 engine, we have seen gains for sure. We have seen gains on the TB spacer for the 06 si also with the TB spacer.

This is install of a TB spacer on a 2006 Civic Si B4 & After

</TD></TR></TABLE> Yeah anyone that i have heard install it on the K20a3 w/ KPRO sold it because they actually lost more torque than the extra 1hp was worth. The a3 head just doesn't move that much air to make the mod worth it's while. I can see how you would see gains on the K20a and a2 though.
