Default EP3 W/ TYPE S TRANNY??

DO I HAVE TO CHANGE THE ENTIRE TRANNY OR ARE THE GEARS INTERCHANGEABLE...MY CUZIN WANTS TO GO SIX SPEED..ANY INPUT WOULD BE GREAT???

Save your self some time and just change the whole tranny. Sell the EP3 tranny and use that money plus some out of your own pocket and get the type s tranny.

Tell your 'cuzin' that there is nothing wrong with the EP3 5-speed tranny. A 6-speed will get him nothing but kudos with his hard-parking friends...unless that's the goal.

Otherwise just swap trannys.

And please don't type in all caps.

I wanna get the 6 spd in my car so that i can bring down the RPM's on the highway a little. I'm at between 3500-4000 usually at highway speeds and would like to see that come down to the 3000 range.
