Have you tried your Honda dealer??

Although the Mugen is 4 door.....don't think it will work on a coupe.

Sorry but there will never be a true Mugen anything since Mugen only has access to the four door in Japan. I suppose it's POSSIBLE Honda could have a project including the coupe with them, but I doubt it'll ever happen. There's a reason why you see a lot of Mugen* Style stuff going around. A lot of it is just cheap stuff styled after Mugen for the coupe to have.

the 08 mugen si is a sedan.

the op has a coupe.

axle back from king motorsports will work. sedan cat-back is too long.

^^couldnt you just cut off a lil bit of piping like all the sedan guys are adding a lil piping. i know its a mugen and i wouldnt want to be the one cutting and welding on a genuine mugen catback, but figuratively speaking??

you could probably get away with that

but like you said, I don't know if I could spend that much and then cut a piece out of it.. that's one of the reasons I haven't bought an exhaust for my sedan.. I couldn't stomach cutting on a perfectly good exhaust to add a few inches.

if you want for real mugen stuff for your coupe you're gonna have to do something like that.. or just stick with the axleback.

It seems to me like the muffler/axle back section off the mugen si should bolt right up. I dunno though.. all of the other 06+ civics are interchangable from the axle back, but since the mugen has a cat-back it might not work the same.

just more ideas I guess.. lol

All the mugen 4 door stuff will be available from honda dealer, just barely cheaper than online places, I ordered up a set of forged gp's from dealer for quite a bit less than other online places got employee prices thought. not available yet but can look up exhaust through honda inter-active network.

why are people so hooked on buying Mugen products? overpriced for what you get if you ask me. 800 for axle-back? dont be suprised if you have to donate a kidney to get the damn cat-back

Its all about the construction man. To keep such a light product, mugen first prototypes in steel, and then covers the prototype in American $100 bills and paints a lacquer over that, and then carefully removes the original steel. The lightest and strongest material is and always will be money.

Actually, they switched to Canadian dollars, as they're currently stronger...

Are you sure?

I thought it was just the sports silencer axle back. Wouldn't the car have a higher advertised horsepower rating if it had the catback?

I know i haven't searched, but can anyone sum up why coupe exhausts don't fit sedans and vice versa? From the previous posts i'm guessing there is a difference in length. Why is this?

The two cars just have different lengths. I don't really think there's any other more specific reason than that.. the sedan has to account for two doors vs. two, so it makes sense. It's only about two inches.

I thought these special Mugen parts for the Mugen Si could only be ordered by actual MUGEN owners.

What's the point of this being an "exclusive" car if any old yahoo can get his hands on these parts and slap them on their sedan?

It's the way the world works...maybe the mugen isn't selling so they're trying to make some money back by selling overpriced parts it is nice quality stuff but is it worth it?

True.....the MUGEN isn't selling. At least not here. There's a Honda dealership right next door to my dealership and their Mugen is still sitting on the showroom floor. Has been for about 3 weeks now. And it's not even marked up. I dont even think it's been test driven.

... if money was no object which one looks better, which will make my sedan just a little bit different. I had a mugen twin loop on one of my coupes. My friend bought the car, he's pleased with it. This morning on the way to work I was waiting to make a left and here comes Chip. I crack the window and he cruises by, just a deep low tone rolls by...
