Can this be installed and still have a back seat? Any complaints about this product or is it In 96-00 hatch.

Yes, you can install it and still have rear seats. It doesn't triangulate forward into the passenger compartment, it bolts in near the rear bulkhead.



Looking at it, you can see very clearly that it would in no way interfere with the installation of a rear seat.
