B20 swap questions (searched already)
OK. A buddy of mine is wanting to swap a b20 into his crx. I know he is already going to need a LS intake mani. He has an ls cable tranny, his halfshaft, axles, basically everything to do the swap...just needs to buy the motor. There was a b16 in the car beforehand. He got screwed on the motor assembly and wiring real bad. The wire harness that was converted from dpfi to mpfi was poorly done. Not to mention the three clips that connect to the ecu have had wires cut in a poor attempt to hook up to the Pr3 ecu located in the car. Now that you have some background, here is/are my question/s.
Since he is going from b16 to b20 would it be easier to find a junk mpfi ef and ****** the ENTIRE wire harness and put it in place of the p.o.s wire harness now in the car? Or keep that harness, and find a clean dx engine harness to convert to mpfi and start from there?
And once thats taken care of, would any problems occur from trying to run the b20 with the pr3? (i would think so because, without the presence of vtec, wouldnt you throw a CEL and cause the car to run in "limp" mode?)
My thoughts on the ECU thing were to sell the pr3, buy an obd0->obd1 jumper harness, an obd1 ls ecu and engine harness. Call it a day. (but im not sure if that would work, seeing that the car is origonally dpfi.)
I have searched and searched, found great tech threads that answered questions. Unfourtunatly, none answered the questions i just asked. If anyone can help out with some useful info i would greatly appreciate it. My buddy has been screwed over enough and im just trying to help him out.

Found the answer. It might not be what you were looking for. but this is what we are going with.
Just the basic MPFI harness conversion (no obdo-obd1 jump) and a pr4 ecu with chrome.
So if anyone knows someone looking for a obd0 pr3... i have one for sale.
