Default Best CRX for Engine Swap

Hey, I've been looking at a lot of crx's and im just wondering what the difference is between the 87 CRX HF (1713 lbs) and the 88' HF (1819lbs), Im looking to do a k20 swap through a mechanic i know, but am still debating on which crx to use. So far I see the best option as the 87 crx hf as it is significantly lighter then the others.

Another question that I have could be answered by some1 whos stripped one down before, but any idea on the weight of aircon system, stock seats, rims , carpet, tar, etc... I noticed on the K swap walkthrough that I'm gonna need a new hood, does anyone now of any good Carbon Fibre hoods that will fit on the crx with the k20?

Finnaly how much more does the k20 engine weight?

Quick other question, do power, mirrors, windows , etc... weigh the car down, if so how much so? I'm only asking because i have options between the two and if it isnt really significant, the luxury wud be nice .

Thankyou for your help,
Amar

Carbon fiber hood for k20, im sure a fiber image's CF hood will work, or a Vis cb hood with that webbing **** cut off.

The 87 HF and 88 HF are 2 completely different cars. With the 87 you will not be able to do a k20 swap unless you want to custom make everything, with the 88 to 91 much of the K swap stuff can be ordered thru Hasport http://www.hasport.com and Ryan at rywire.com will take care of the wiring for you

Aircon system = 48lbs for everything in total, weighed right infront of me

VIS or Fiber images will be able to sell you a hood, it must have a raised hump in it ie "SiR"

A fully dressed K20 drivetrain weighs about 420lbs

No a ZC hood will not clear, needs to be raised in the center instead of dipped
