my friend was driving my car and went through a puddle and it ceased the motor up. i was wondering what i need to do to get it back running? its a 88 accord lxi

first, do an oil change. then id pull the plugs out and crank the car over. this will blow any water in the combustion chambers out... worked on my buddies jeep.
