we just put a new altanator and we got it in it started and we took it for a lil drive up and down the street and every time i put my foot on the brake the temp. guage went up and took my foot off the break it went down. so i poped the hood to check it out the car just died and know it wont start.. the batery is fine and it wont crank over we also put new spark plugs in but i dont think thats the problem cause we put them in after it diedcould it be an eletrical problem?

now when i put my foot on the break when the car is off and no key in the ignition the gague lights all come on and clicking noises..

Definitely sounds like it's related to the brake signal wiring grounding out somewhere near the guage cluster. Try tracing the wire that comes from the brake switch and see if it's broken anywhere.

Also, do you have a Check Engine Light?

 

no the check engine light is not on
