Default knock sound at 4000 rpm??

what up i havent really posted anything here for a while cuz my dc5 was running real clean....
but eventually through hard 9000 rpm cracking is takin its toll on my poor k ,.... i jus started hearing a knocking noise inside the motor when i give it gas to about 4000 rpm, first thing i thought, through having my sohc vtec back in the day, that it may be a connecting rod problem?
i jacked the car up and took out some oil, and added some lucas oil<> was that good or bad?
o and my other question here was; could i be facing a connecting rod problem? and how much will it cost me to fix it? any responses will be greatly appreciated (except those dumb ***** who talk ****) lol.....thanks HT!

lol "except those dumb ***** who talk ****" That's half of H-T, guess no one should reply to your comment. lol

anyways, does that knocking increase when you rev higher then 4k? to me sounds like you spun a bearing, but i can not be 100% sure because i'm not in front of your car.

Might be stupid but your running premium right? As in quality gas (Chevron, Shell, etc.) and not some off brand ****?

synthetic or not if you are putting in 5w-20 as stated then you are putting in the correct oil. Me i prefer 10w-30 (green cap, castrol gtx) so it doesn't thin so quick but anyways. If they told you that, then that is a complete lie and are trying to screw you over. The car is not required to run on synthetic but a lot of people will use synthetic but that is preference. My car has never touched synthetic and never will. I would talk to them again and tell them either they get off their *** and utilize the factory warranty or you tell them you will get a lawyer. Ask the guy or whoever told you that statement where it says in the manual it imperative to run 5w-20 synthetic. i guarantee he will not find it because it does not say it has to run synthetic.

Quote from manual:

An oil with a viscosity of 5w-30 is preferred for imporved fuel economy and year-round protection in your Acura. You may use a 10w-30 oil if the temperature in your area never goes below 20F (-7C)

Synthetic oil:
You may use a synthetic motor oil if it meets the same requirements given for a conventional motor oil: it displays the API Certification Seal, and it is the proper weight as shown on the chart. When using synthetic oil, you must follow the oil and filter change intervals given in the mainenance schedule.
p. 208-209 02-04 yr (wouldn't be any difference for 05-06 either)

Then tell him "please.. where it says it has to run synthetic. Either A) fix my car under warranty or B) i will have you speak to a lawyer."

Or you can skip all that and go to another Acura dealership and try from there.

So do you have a Honda Warranty or a warranty provided from the place you bought the car?

OH MY GOD.. i hope you did not just say western union...

you better go cancel transaction RIGHT NOW if you can. Western Union is the EASIEST and fastest way to get scammed believe me i know because that's how i got scammed. Fake ID and money sent thru western union.. i knew a k20a at 2400 was to good to be true.. Dude.. i don't want to rain on your parade but you just seriously got scammed 100%

you seriously better go cancel transaction NOW.. AS WE SPEAK. CALL WESTERN UNION. my guess is he would only take western union right? If you say yes to that.. you got scammed.

he can scam a fake address with fake id and get away with it because western union is 99% untrackable.

DO NOT EVER SEND PAYMENT TO ANYONE THRU WESTERN UNION UNLESS IT'S SOMEONE YOU KNOW AND TRUST 100%!!!!!

Yes.. Western Union is the EASIEST way to get scammed.. it's so easy to not get tracked thru western union that's why people who scam will use western union. I lost $2000 sending thru western union. I'd report it right away to local police and see what they can do also online somewhere is internet fraud reporting. If you only sent $1000 then that's how much you lost. I can gurantee he's not going to send a motor. How did you find him? Tell me how this all came about.
