Has anyone had there transmission drop......or burn out a clutch........

Had a horrible down shift..........now the car runs fine......engin has no problem.....but when im in first it take me all the way up to 5,000 rpms to have the car start moving........it it moves so very slow........doest that sound like the clutch..........Well i hope its the clutch........but any how.......If anyone had this problem just ah let me know..........thanks

 

Few things it could be. 1 would be a burnt up clutch. 2 would be having oil on the clutch disc causing it to slip. 3 would be your clutch is out of adjustment (too tight putting pressure on the pressure plate causing the clutch disc not to grab properly.

These are just general things that can happen on any car. You probably have a worn out clutch if the car has some miles on it.

 

Yeah you could have oil dripping on the clutch, or migh have burnt it out, how many miles on ur clutch and if so did u learn how to drive stick on ur current car?

 

83xxx, the dealership want me to pay them 1200 for a whole new transmisson.........thats my arm almost

 

Buy a D series trans off here.
