hey guys.. i got a carbon fiber console and i dont have any idea how to install it.. any help would be great.... thanks

 

i cant get the carbon fiber console in the console.... do i need to cut anything?

 

you can't have 2 consoles in the same place at the same time...you gotta take the old one out first.

i heard it's a pita switching consoles and installing a cf one

Yeah really...I still don't know what he's talking about? Is he talking about the shifter trim piece?

 

You just have to jiggle it, wiggle it, play with it, maybe even lube it up a little; but it'll eventually make its way on.

I'm assuming it's a carbon fiber piece that replaces the leather or carpet trimming on the center console.

 

Here we go, this is what I'm thinking he's trying to install.

 

Now if it's this he's referring to. He shouldn't be touching the car in any way if he can't figure out how to install this. LOL

 

I helped install one before, it is a pain in the ***. you have to flex the c/f console open enough to clip over the center. You have to pull it to the point that you think its about to break in half.

Did it flex in the middle, any damage happen when you installed it? Pics?

yea it fits very nices.. no damage.. i took it off already lol cause i like the leather more.. sorry no pics

Must be why you are selling it.

 

i'll be buying one of these to replace the carpet center console. if only MY00 came with the leather...
