Default Ecu gone bad?

Ok, heres the situation. My car is throwing a code 3 and 13. I pull the neg. battery cable and keep it off to erase the ecu and then put it back on. I turn the key to the run position and check the light. It still throws the code 13 but the 3 is gone. I turn the car on and drive for 5 mins and come back turn the car off, turn the key back to the run position and check again. Code 3 is back. I changed the Map sensor (code 3) and still it comes on, but I've still been unable to find the PA sensor. I'm thinking that maybe I have a busted ecu because the code 13 doesn't go away even after clearing. What do you guys think?

P.S. could a vacuum leak cause these?

Could possibly be a bad ECU.

The PA(code 13) sensor is located just behind the passenger side kick panel, it's a small black doo-dad held on by 2 10mm bolts. You may want to check that too. You could try swapping out the ECU if you have a spare, i'm sure you would have done that already tho if you had access to one.

Anything done to the car? swap?

Nope, stock as far as I know, I just got it. It used to be decked out with a DOHC head, cat back exhaust, and CAI. As far as I know he replaced it all with old stock stuff before I got it.

So the PA sensor is behind the passenger side kick panel...not behind the plastic near the vents right?

Yeah, basically, you can get to to without having to remove any of the interior pieces. Just follow the trim line where the carpet meets the plastic up behind the dash.
