i have no real experience with unsprung clutches, but from what i've read they are un-daily-driverable.

get a 6puck or 4puck racing clutch and call it a day. i have some kind of racing clutch, dont know any specs on it cuz it came with the car, but its a lot stiffer than the OEM clutch. (i hate my car on the days i work out my legs.)

i think OEM is 16pounds? the lighter it is the harder it is to drive smoothly.. i honestly dont think you need anything above OEM(aka Stage I) unless if you just want the performance feeling when driving... since you're basically stock, why not use the clutch honda put into stock preludes?

just search

You don't need an unsprung clutch on a daily driven car. The springs in the hub actually have nothing to do with engagement quality.

However, solid hub clutches are generally built for racing, thus they have no marcel which results in harsh engagement (plus the material makes a difference in engagement quality).

As for flywheel weight, you just have to feather it more with a lightweight flywheel. Once you get used to it, it's not a big deal.

The unsprung 4 puck in my friends Civic was like an on/off switch....
For a mild modded Prelude stick with a full disc.

Stick with a full disk, especially on a stock prelude
I daily drive an 8lb flywheel, engagement is not harsh, but it is short and does require some feathering and getting used to like others have mentioned

If you are looking to save some money try the F1-racing ebay clutch kits.....I have used them on 2 different DD cars with no problems( never any clamping/slipping problems at the track either). The parts are not cheap, you just get warehouse prices, the pressure plates even have the honda stamp on them.

That's gonna fly way over the heads.

I've heard plenty of these kind of horror stories about the harsh ACT setups. Crank walk like a DSM
