The engine is completely backwards from that of an DX/LX/EX... tranny is on the drivers side, header is on the back, mounts are likely to be different. It's just not worth the money.

It might even be more expensive for you since you're starting with an automatic and going to manual, whereas he went from manual to manual. But yeah, some guy spent well over 30k to have a 200 HP Civic LX. Not exactly sure what he was thinking..

dont believe everything you read.

people post up outrageous prices but get things for super cheap due to friends who wrecked/friends who are thieves etc.

thanks for all the replys, still wondering if k motor equipped chassis have the same mount locations as r equipped chassis kind of like eg civics and dc integras where it would be a pure bolt on deal using factory mounts or would it require after market mounts ? i do own a 4dr si but just want to know to expand my honda knowledge. thanks again = )

Normally I'd agree with this but he posted up the receipt from the shop that did it. I BELIEVE it came out to be 15k and change, might've been a grand more or less.

My friends have shops.
Do you want a 12,000 dollar supercharger?

I'm not exactly sure what you're getting at.. the point I'm trying to make is a guy spent ~15k doing what the OP is asking. Are the parts worth 15k? Of course not - but to assume the average Joe on here can do a complete motor swap would be wrong.. so I'm giving shop estimates.

The point is that because someone online showed/posted recepts totalling one amount.
Doesn't mean it cost that much. Alot of people like to showboat and claim it cost more than it actually was to do something.

Last time I checked, the tranny was still on the driver side of my LX.
