Default driving and gear pushed to park, worst that could happen?

So I'm driving and get into an arguement with a female friend. I'm going about 35mph and she moves the gear selector to park. The car immediately begins to slow down, not quickly like stomping on the brakes, but slowly. The car emits a small whine noise, but no loud metal-to-metal carnage-like noises. Within a split second I put it back into drive and go on. A bad smell enters the cabin, kind of like burnt clutch smell, but goes away soon after. The car drives fine now and I don't feel or hear any abnormal noises. I sure am lucky it didn't land in reverse. What's the worse damage that this could have caused?

For one, I hope you slapped that insanely idiotic bitch in the face. What kind of moron throws the car into park Then I hope you kicked her out and made her walk her dumb *** home.

As for the car.. I'm sure that wasn't good. At all. However, if it still drives fine and all that, what else can you ask for.

If nothing else, pay a few bucks and have the dealer do a tranny diagnostic on it. (id assume they drive it around and then hook it up to the ecu and make sure nothing shows bad. ) If nothing else, you are the daily driver, if it still works fine you may have gotten that lucky. As for her, id keep that bitch in the trunk from now on.
