Inspecting crank and rod bearings...... how should they look
When inspecting the friction bearings for the crank mains and rods, what should I look for ? Pics would be great if anyone has any.

No real scratches and no discoloration, you really need to buy some plastigage and follow the steps in the manual for checking bearing clearance.
