I am looking for a very specific picture of a Y49 crx that I saw on HT a year or 2 ago. The picture is at ground level of the front corner of the car, and the person who took it had their little black cat right next to the car.

I know this isn't Tech related, but seriously, where else on the internet would something like this be understood..

p.s. i looked through all 83 pages of the pictures thread over the course of 3 days.. its not in there. it looks similar to the kikujiro set on page 3 of the picture thread.

The point of this thread is to find the picture i am looking for that was on honda-tech a while ago. obviously its not tech.. so the mods can delete if they feel like they need to. The main point is that the Y49 curse is explained visually via this picture much better than it can be explained by telling someone (who probably doesnt care) about the curse.

I swear.. if someone finds the picture i am talking about, i am seriously going to make a print and put it in my wallet.

All it is, is having bad luck for people who owned one in that colour. I had one myself a few years back, i can't say itt gave me any problems till the last day that i owned it. I was on my way over to a Honda dealer that was going to pay me more than i did 1 1/2 year previously, but on the way there the car started dying out on my, it stalled out 3 times....very weird, still don't know why that happened.
I still sold it off though.

I'll tell you the other thing that is weird about them is that they used to soooo common. 10-12 years ago up here in Cananda, we had as many yellow ones around as the black, they were everywhere. As they got older, they seemed to rush one hell of a lot easier than ones in other colours. Now, i only see one every couple months, there are hardley any left.

 

Y49 is nothing but a myth. Basically anything that goes wrong with a Y49 is blamed on a "curse" however what people don't see is that the same things have happened to EVERY other color out there as well.

i recently bought a mint climate control for 50 bucks.... then i contacted the seller and asked him why he was parting out his car.

he told me he did a b16a swap and turboed it, eveything went wrong in the process and didnt run half the time. i looked at the pics and said, well your car is black, so it cant be the curse.

but then he told me he spray painted it black to try and get rid of the curse... it didnt work

now i am scared about the climate controll bringing the curse with it in my rex
