is it okay to spray the shaft an housing with degreeser? I was going to take the throw out bearing out an spray to clean it up the relube the shafts. is that okay?

Just dont destroy the seal, get a new bearing, its cheap insurance. you dont want to have to deal with later on if it goes bad.

 

tape off anything you dont want water to get into, i just did this not to long ago, def clean off the shaft.. and grease her up pretty good, i forget the name of the stuff i used, but any all purpose automotive grease should work fine.

 

what seal? you mean bearing?
