Default Honda Motors Online (long)

Well I just have to give praise to this company. They are the best, hands down, in customer service. Here's my story..

I purchased a full B16 swap from them with everything I needed to get it done. He even included some 90 Integ hubs, knuckes, and brakes, as long as I pay 50 more for extra shipping charges!

Well the engine got to the shop were I was getting it done within that week. It left on Monday and got here on Friday. Well everything was going good, the engine came in looking very good. There was nothing broken, and everything that I ordered came in fine.

Well the shop completed the swap and tried to turn it over with no success??? They checked the compression and it's very low. Low as in 30, 15,25, and 50. The shop calls me and tells me the bad news, and say's that the engine is no good. Well I call Steve and he assures me that they do a compression check on the engines, because he makes sure he only sells quality stuff. He say's that he is very surprised that the engine was bad because he has never had a bad engine before. (keep in mind that he only sells the best of the best).

Well before I could say another word he quickly tells me that he's going to send me another longblock, and to not worry about it. He's going to send it on a 3 day shipping. Well at this point I'm extremely happy that not only is he willing to help, but he's doing it as quick as possible. The only problem I have now is that the shop I'm getting it done at is going to charge me another 500 to remove the bad engine and install the new one!!!

Well I call Steve back and ask him if there's anything that he can do to help me out since it wans't me fault the engine's compression was bad. Well guess what, He's going to pay for the labor charge from the shop. I got the invoice that the shop gave me and he is going to reimburse me for the cost!! Like I said before, he has never had this happen and he is going out of his way to make sure I'm happy.

Well all I have to say is that I'm 110% satisfied with his company. I didn't just order from him because I found him on the web. I compared the feed back I received from here, and choose him because he seemed to be the best. My decision was correct, he is the best.

I'm just sharing my story with the fellow H-T members because I know how hard it is to trust someone you haven't even met. But like Steve said before he told me he was sending me another engine, "actions speak louder than words." That is soo true.

edit: made paragraphs b/c reading that hurt me eyes.

I've contacted him about 3 times and everytime he had answered EVERY question. 3 minute conversation and 5 minutes on the other-twice on phone and once on E-mail.

I'm glad things worked out for you. The tech stuff was great, I'm glad products and service are too.

Yeah, Steve is a real nice guy. Takes the time he needs to help his customers. In my experience, he's not always the most prompt salesman in the world (he took a week to ship me an ECU - a week after he received my cash), but I would definately deal with him again... as long as I'm not in a hurry!

They want it back. Sorry. He wants proof that the compression was bad because he has never had a bad engine.

Same with me but with a motor. He took forever to ever get back to me. From all the praise he gets I'm assuming he gets the job done but takes forever. He quoted me a time and when I called him cause it didnt arrive, he told me it was still there cause he didnt have time to ship it...

What else did you need to complete Hondamotorsonlines swap? Did you need any other parts than what he included?

the standard 'swap' from HMO doesn't have everything you'll need to put one in an EF. you'll still need mounts and what not, as the standard 'swap' comes with SiR mounts.....but steve will hook you up with all the extras if you need them.

Sounds like I might get my b series motor their if I ever swap. Good to here about good people. Last place I got my motor was questionable because they gave me a good deal on the motor, but all the rest of the stuff I needed was a rip off. WTF

Yeah Steve will hook you up with the Hasport mounts and modified shift linkage if you buy it all at the same time from him. That's what I did.
