Default jdm itr engine wont start after hot driving

does anyone know what is the problem when your driving for a while in the heat and then turn off the engine. When i try to start the engine again its just dead and all i hear is a click once. all my lights and radio is on and working, and if i turn it off and start it after it cools down the engine will work again. what could this problem be, any info will be greatly appreciated.

your main relay is located under the dash kinda by where your hood release is and the fuse box. When its hot listen for it to click when you turn your ignition and listen to see if your fuel pump primes. you should hear it whirl for a few seconds. If you don't hear it, you may need a new main relay or you have to re-solder it.

OK if at first it doesnt start after driving it for a while then that means you might need to check the main relay like they said before..Also check or get a after market gauge and see if the temp is getting above normal. If its getting high then that means you might need a new themostat. If thats the problem your car may have a safty option which wont allow your car to start when at a certain high temp. CHeck little things like fuses, main relays.

just get a manual for the car and a DMM, your ready to solve 95% of the problems if not more you will encounter.
