Parking lights stay on
I have a 94 Accord EX. I unhooked the positive terminal on the battery to take off the audio wire that the person who had the car before me had on there. I wanted to take out the wire because it kept making a rattling sound when I drove and I don't need fancy audio anyhow. Anyhow, the problem is that somewhere along the line of doing this, the parking lights stay on, even when the keys aren't in and the lights are swtiched to the off position. Whether this had anything to do with the audio wire, I doubt, but I thought I'd mention it anyway, because that's what I was doing when this happened. I hooked up the battery with and without the audio wire, and the problem is still there. It wouldn't seem that the audio wire would have anything to do with this though. There's no separate parking light swtich from the main light switch, like in the Subaru I had. I don't understand why the lights stay on. And the dash gauge lights are on with the parking lights. Any help?! I'd very much appreciate it!
I'm not sure where it is ground to. Do you suspect that the wire has to do with the lighting issue? This is totally weird, I can't figure it out. It's as if the car thinks the parking lights have been switched on, but I even when I have it off they stay on.
oh jesus im sorry i kept reading that as parking brake light.
Sorry, check the wiring behind the headunit. I bet someone tapped into a wire they shouldn't have back there. Does the headunit stay on too? If not, just pull it out and see what it looks like back there. If it looks professional and not a hack job, you'll have to start looking for a short somewhere.

Problem fixed. I don't know what was up, but I left it unhooked overnight, hooked it up hte next morning and the lights don't stay on now. Weird. But it's fixed!
