possible bad fuel pump?
I just put in a b18a in my 90 hatch si and I can't get the damn thing started it turn and everything sounds like its about to catch on but no luck. I checked my grounds, all the fuses, switched out the main relay still the same thing. I pulled off the fuel line going to the fuel filter and turned it on no fuel. So I checked the fuses again all good. I pulled the back seat off and checked the wire going to the gas tank. I metered the wires and this is what I got, the yellow/white wire I got 5.8 volts when turned to ignition, black/white tested ground, black with two gray dots tested ground, yellow/black with two gray dots tested ground when ignition on and nothing when ignition off. But when I plugged the harness back the section that goes into the tank all the wires still checks out the same except for the yellow/white the voltage drop from 5.8v to .80v. What do you guys think do I have a bad fuel pump or something went wrong with the electrical. Thanks.
Just run power to the fuel pump for a second to see if it is working or not. If it does than your problem is electrical. If not than the pump if dead.
So just run a 12volt wire to the yellow/white and listen for the pump. Damn it!! Why didn't I think of that this morning.

Nope I did not hear it prime at all. At first I thought it was the pump cause I didn't here it prime but I decided to check everything possible first cause a buddy of mine says that I have to take down the gas tank to change the pump. Thats when I found that the yellow/white wire only put out 5.8volts. Don't most of the components in the car take 12v DC?
