Accord Transmission Woes
My parents have given me an automatic 1995 honda accord lx. Recently the head gasket blew and then the motor went so we swapped in another f22. But now the transmission in the car is really acting up it revs really high, it sticks, it shifts incredibly hard and when i start the car in the morning and shift into reverse it kicks really like someone is holding down the gas as you shift. this only happens in the morning when my idle is really high. can anybody help me out?
it works like nothing else and will help alleviate the hard shifting. The automatics that honda used prior to 1998 accords are known for hard shifting as they age.
First make sure the tranny oil is at the correct level when fully warmed up and checked with the car off.
Try adjusting the throttle cables - that helped mine a lot.
Is everything associated with the newly installed motor the same as your year? Does your TPS check out correctly?

i dont think that its the motor it only has 60,000 miles and everything was replaced. I dont really mind the hard shifting as much i just hate it when i put it in reverse and it kicks back hard. it literally feels like im pressing down the gas and trying to go in reverse right when it kicks in
