Does anyone know? Are the z6 and y8 cams the same? Looking at a putting a z6 performance cam in my y8, but not sure if they are compatible.

I think they're the same design, but the Y8 has a higher lift stock. Are you still interested in converting to OBD-I?

 

I will go OBDI if I do the cam. Just trying to price things out at the moment. Otherwise, the car is running really well on the pm6 with a Vtec controller, I have no complaints. I really don't know how much of a difference running a p28 will be while the internals of my y8 are still stock. I think that I'll need the Vtec fuel/timing though when I go to the more aggressive camshaft.

 

Y8 cams are indexed different and use a different cam gear.
