dont assume its not metal just because magnets dont stick. Back to middle school science- magnets are attracted to iron. Try sticking a magnet to your cheapo desk leg. Probly wont stick but its obviously still metal.

its a nonferrous metal. meaning it contains no iron and is non magnetic, just a few off the top of my head aluminum,brass,copper, and stainless steel are all non ferrous metals
