Any one ever convert to hydrolic trannie in a rex??????????
I have done two.
the first one we used all the hydro components from a 2000 integra type R.
(we t the motor out of there too)
Lots of work. we routed the lines with the engine out of the car (only way to do it)
and then I made a bracket that placed the cylinder inside the car, under the dash.
I positioned the cylinder backwards. When you step on the clutch pedal
the top of the arm swings towards you so you have to put the cylinder 180 degrees than the way it goes on the hydro equipped cars.
It works, but I wouldn't do it again.
The other way I've done it, was to use the clutch cable and make a bracket
that bolts to the front transmission mount (which the EF doesn't use) and there we made an "L" shaped fixture that the stock cable goes to, but then another cable goes to the tranny from it.
i will take pictures this weekend and will post them up.
Both ways are complicated, and you need access to a machine shop to pull it off.

i have seen a ******* hydro tranny being used with a cable.....pretty kewl... i saw a 5G civic with it at the track last week.... he said hasport has them.. but i have never seen them....
a local shop is looking to build and supply these...currently being slightly reengineered to work with different mount kits....lhtperformance.net....this is using the second method described above...when he tells me that they are in production i will post with details and price...saw one tonight on crx with a gsr swap(including hydro tranny and obd-1 conversion)
5g civic comes with a hydro tranny stock...so they probably had a cable tranny in a hydro car. HASport makes kits for hydro cars to cable trannies, but not viice-versa.
