Default tranny question

hey guys i have 98 accord lx wit 95k miles. and i feel that tranny jumps a couple times n stuff. and i dont know what wrong with it? any1 knows? car runs perfect,no problem or nothin.. im going to check the oil tomorrow morning because the car hot. should i check something else? thanks mel

lets put it this way, if honda made the transmission in those cars out of glass it would be more reliable than the unit that is in there.

I had a 98 V6 accord that ate 3 transmissions within 11K miles

and also my friend told me that honda replace the tranmission for free before 100,000 miles. because there a major recall on them? this is true?

possible.. have your local honda dealerships run you VIN.

You should be able to find another tranny if you need, but you could have it checked out for sure. or check the fluid in it, run the car until warm and then turn it off and check the fluid.

1998 and 1999 accords are on a case by case basis only for goodwill replacement.

things that will come in handy......

service records of the car (Honda should have them if the car was serviced at a dealer)
calling HOA after you visit the dealer

well i check my tranny fluid today.. and lady who own this car before me.. she put engine oil on the tranny.... so im going to get the tranny flush tomorrow morning so hopefully it should be better..

oh boy. your trans might be toast then. but if i were you i'd get 9 or 12 qrts and keep flushing out 3 at a time. or have it actually flushed.
