Default Got my Koni yellows with GCs...now how about swaybars?

Jst got a 400f 350r setup for my EG hatch with B series swap. These rates are supposed to provide a good street/strip combo.

Now what are the benefits of adding front and rear swaybars and what does the difference in size (mm) affect?

if you are just into drag racing, i don't see sway bars as being anything other then more weight.

the difference in the size of sway bars effects the stiffness of the sway bar. But please keep in mind that you can't compare all sway bars.

A sway bar is just like a spring, its stiffness is composed of its length, thickness, mounting, arm length, center length, and other things. Many sway bars differ in all of the categories mentioned.

Most of the time you are safe comparing OEM front sway bars with other OEM front sway bars, but don't compare an OEM front sway bar to an OEM rear sway bar, the size (mm) is only a small part of the stiffness.

Well, I won't be autocrossing, but there are a lot of mountainous areas here in Puerto Rico and I want the car to be stable on the curves. Will swaybars help me?

Do you have any swaybars stock? If not, then yes adding them will make a huge difference.

sure they will, they are just another part to the suspension. Springs, sway bars, shocks, tires, ect are all important parts.

As patrick said, if you car doesn't have them i would add them. The front can be pretty tricky though because if your car didn't come with them you will need to swap out the rear part of the LCA, to an LCA that has accommodation for sway bar mounting.

The rear is the same, if your car didn't have a rear anit-sway bar from the factory, then you would need to purchase a set of rear lower control arms that have accommodations for the sway bar.

It would help if you told us what car you have, then we might be able to give more advice.

Ok, I've got a 93 Civic hatch and it doesn't have any swaybars but I saw this on Ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...&rd=1

The auction specifies with or without stock bars so I guess I have to specify that my car does not have stck bars

i don't really like how the ST bars mount, not that it is bad, i just prefer the OEM way front and rear. But most people without front sway bars go with a setup like this because it is easy to install.
