depends on what color i suppose. I painted mine black on my old civic about 2 yrs ago. It looked good, especially compared to the rusty stock look. you could't even notice them. looked as if i just had shiney brake rotors, new ones. just make sure you use qaulity paint made specifically for brake calipers. i forgot which brand mine was, but i had to paint 2 coats on w/ a thick brush. don't know, but whatever you do, don't paint that **** some loud *** bright yellow, orange, blue, etc.....= superrice.solid dark colors if any at all. spend money on something else, i only painted mine because they were rusty. if they hadn't been, i would of left them alone

Well depends on the color you painted the calipers. For the most part red and black are ok. But if you try to match your car or decals then that equals rice, or as we say in spanish...arose.. hehe. **** I hope I spelled that right..
well Good Luck... and tell your friend or that " somebody" to go screw himself, you paid for the car not him.. have fun.

my question is why to paint them? it ussually looks like crap because they are painted on generally stock cars... (and a bodykit exhaust and intake is stock!)

I think powdercoating would look better. I'm curious though, does anyone have any real data on whether or not the extra coatings make the caliper hold in more heat?

I painted mine silver/aluminum. Subtle, and looks good behind a dark wheel - much better than the rusty blobs that were there before.

I considered powder-coating, but didn't really feel like rebuilding the calipers. Also couldn't warrant the $80 cost when a can of 1200 degree paint costs a tenth that much & looks just as good.

I don't think so, lamborghinis are yellow, I want to paint mine yellow too, but I'm not sure if it would fit, because I have white rnrs on a black crx. You guys think it would fit? I don't want red because everyone does that, so it's yellow or black

Mine are painted red. I drive a blue pearl EP. I think it accents very well. Same reason anyone paints or buys a Type R valve cover. It looks good. If you like it screw the guy who is arguing. If painted calipers were rice you wouldn't see them on Ferraris, Porsches, etc.

And Porsche even using YELLOW on theirs. It looks great on silver cars.
