93 civic dx hatch, replaced headgasket and now car won't star. Compression is 150+ on all 4 cylinders, has spark & fuel into the fuel rail. Any suggestions on what else to check? When i remove head, marked timing belt & gear. Car just cranks & cranks but doesn't even try to start. HELP PLEASE

 

check the distributor and plugs, also make sure it has fuel.. lol id also check the ecu out

 

how did you mark the timing belt? did you make sure the factory marks are lined up? do you have the plug wires in the correct order?

 

id check your cam timing there is a good chance that your crank may have moved at some point throwing your timing off a few teeth.

Line up TDC from the crank pulley and the cam gear's marks - NOT your own
