Default who painted thier exhaust black?

i tried doing a search couldnt find anything, i know some one on here did a post about painting thier exhaust black
id like to do the same just wanted to se what kind of paint to use se how its holding up

i used that crappy $5 dollar 1500° paint from wally world.
its FLAT black..and i mean flat black
i think it looks good, hasnt burned off.

if you decide to go the walmart spray can route, MAKE SURE you degrease it and sand it so the paint has something to grab onto.

but that dood is right.. powder coating is NICE NICE

I used paint from Wal-mart too but it's for gas grills. Stuck fine and hasn't chipped or peeled in 6 weeks.

thats what i was thinking some good ol grille paint thats what i used on my wheels and it has held up great

Thats what i was gonna use, but i painted my exhaust manifold heat shield with it first and it wasn't as "flat" as i thought it would be so im gonna try to find another kind. I used Krylon for grills

i know a couple people wit it black, looks sweet, i had a silver car so i painted mine this titanium color, hasn't burnt off and i like, so who cares...its my ride

word, it looks nice i used um i believe 500 degrees, anything higher gives it like a purplesish tint, so up to you guys to see whats up, hsan't burnt off or melted or nothing looks nice...peace

I also have a silver car so I decided to paint it flat silver (with hopes of making it look like the stock canister) and I think it looks good. I used 1500 degree paint from VHT. I keep checking it and nothing has chipped off yet.
