Default Another coupe front end thread.

I am starting to collect parts to convert my sedan to a coupe front end. I understand that to get proper fitment i need the fenders, hood, corners, and bumper from the coupe. I will be ordering jdm fenders from password more than likely, my only concern is about the side moldings...

Will i have to go junkyard some side moldings off a coupe to put on the fenders? or would my sedan moldings transfer over since its just the fenders? Also if my sedan moldings wont transfer over, will the coupe moldings match my moldings on my doors? I want every detail to be right.

Thanks, and please dont try and convince me to stay with the sedan front end. I have already made up my mind on the direction im going with this car.

the front bumpers are different

but if you only concern is only the small door moldings then do that last.

just wait and see if your sedan moldings work, if not hit the junk yard, and if it comes down to it hit the stealership

front bumper has holes for the fog lights on the coupe/ hatch i think and the sedan is just a large grill

Im gona say your gona need the coupe side molding to fit the coupe fender. And impretty sure it should match up with not problem, ill look more into it later tho.

P.s. i love this conversion, it would be the first thing i do if i owned a 4 door.

I know for a fact the bumper, fenders, and hood are all different, so you will at least need to get those. <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by EJ1_Sleeper &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">P.s. i love this conversion, it would be the first thing i do if i owned a 4 door.</TD></TR></TABLE>

I wanted to swap the front end on my 4door. It just seemed like too much of a hassle to make everything line up right. I'm just going to order a sedan front lip and sedan headlights and call it a day.

Yep, the only right way to do it is:

Get new hood
Get new bumper
Get new corner lights
Make hybrid of coupe and sedan fenders

like stated previousy you want to do it the rite way then buy new hood, fenders, and bumper along with the corners..if not you can go the cheap way and just ghetto rig the front bumper from a coupe on the four doors fenders..
