I voted to Hump cause I think they look cool. Aerodynamics arent a legitimate reason for me yet, but from what I understand it can offer improved protection for your back also.

For me its a must considering that i fratured a couple vertabre's right in the spot where the protection is located. Added safety in the world of crazy drivers
from me.

Kinda sucks when you ride 2 up.
But since I only ride alone, no prob for me.

you didnt read my update on that. after calling many many insurance companies, i found one that would insure me! price is crazy compared to the states around $1K/yr for basic coverage. On the bright side, there are 6 tracks all real close to where im living. My bike is getting delivered on Wed!!!!

I love it, the external molded plastic protection on the shoulders elbows/forearms and knees is unlike any other suit on the market. I've gone down before so I admire the kind of protection this suit has to offer me
I took out the internal kidney belt and use a Dainese back protector instead though.

I have an A* RC-1 jacket that I use on the street with the hump. Besides the fact that it keeps your head from snapping back in the event of a wreck it also looks cool. I get a lot of compliments on the jacket and on top of that its comfortable as hell.
The only real downside is that when you are tucked your head can't come up as far so you have to roll your eyes back. This of course is a minor flaw compared to the amount of protection it offers. Here is a pic:

That hump won't keep your head from snapping backwards. What it does is prevent spinal injuries associated with the head not being in-line with the spine. It also helps keep your chin from smashing into your chest if you fall on your back.
