Block plates
Im about to have a program made at work to cut mirror block plates Im wondering how they attach I guessing they just have two holes in the bottom so you can still put the bolts threw an attach them an keep your wind screen secure I tried lookin at them online but not one pic shows the back or how the attach
Can't speak for all bikes but on my bike 02 f4i and i think most honda bikes windscreen is not attached the mirrors bolts go to the fairing stay bracket hold upper fairing.
right they dont really go into windscreen, but they do hold the upper fairing down to the support brackets, kinda making it feel as though its hold windscreen down. maybe thats what he is talking about.

I made some out of Aluminum some time ago on my 900RR. all i did was get some 2.5mm aluminum, trace out the base of the mirror with a pencil along with the holes. I then cut out each place with a jig saw equipped with a metal blade. the holes were drilled and everything had a rough cleanup with a bench grinder. the final shaping and smoothing/polishing was was done by hand with wet sand paper up to 800grit. all it all it was about an hour of work "tops"
