Hi, ive owned my '95 gsr for about 3 years now and ever since i got it the engine clanks at around 3000 rpm and then the sound goes away after around 4000 rpm in every gear. There's no performance problem or anything, just makes an annoying sound. Someone told me it was common for the '95 gsr but i dont know. The car runs fine but i would just like to know whether or not or how easy it can be fixed. Thanks.

 

Is it an exhaust rattle? Can you produce this noise just by revving the car? If so, get a friend to make the noise occur and search for it.

 

same clunking sound with my gsr. around 3k is when you hear it but thats only when your driving. seems its something electrical sparking type of sound. or the rocker arms my be loose. I dont know I know it does bother me but havent done nothing bad yet, except for a code that came up being the cam positioning sensor might be that. but I dont mind as much.
