Have you checked the legality of installing a 1996 engine into a 2000 chassis in wonderful, sunny CA?

That I could care less about. Its more of a visual inspection they worry about here.

They are dome top with a 3.307/84.00 bore & 11.9 comp. ratio. Part # on the box is 3330511 if anyone wants to check out the specs!

Will do! I'm hoping for good numbers after tuning & alot of time adjustment. I'm taking my time on the build so I don't have a deadline.

There are plenty of people who have boosted on stock internals and made ~300whp daily driven for years on this board. Some starting out with over 150k miles on the original motor.

N/A can definitely be quick and fun, but I just dont see why you refer to turbocharging as putting a lot more money into your car when in reality depending on how built the n/a motor is it will be similar in price or much more expensive. Good, quality bolt-ons and headwork costs almost as much as an entire turbo setup.

In a way I do want n/a but at the same time I love boost. But I understand the financial problems as I also have to pay for my own parts.

True true... There isn't anything against boosting just it ain't my style. I could if I wanted to & regardless I know the wife would chop my ***** off lol. She got mad that I spent so much on puttin the dc2 back into production. She doesnt know the numbers tho lol. Yea I know for a fact that n/a gets expensive, but I have some hook ups that I can go with but for a n/a application. & also I got lucky not putting some upgrades I bought on my last build that I'm going to use now on this project.

I'm pretty sure he answered this questions in the very first paragraph of his post...By the way, I have just finished rebuilding and installing my 'new' motor. The car is my daily driver and I put ITR standard sized pistons, new oem rings, ARP headstuds, port/polished head, Blox Tuner B (stage 2) cams, valve springs, retainers, Hytech replica header, intake/exhaust, Skunk 2 intake manifold, etc... Just about have it ready to start up, just have to build the exhaust still. I am also going strictly all motor. I have a Hondata S200 unit that I am going to have to have retuned with a P28 computer. Also, waiting on some new injectors to come in. I will let ya know how it turns out. I am trying to do everything right the first time since it is my only transportation.

there is no such thing as a 2.0 piston, its in mm. the block will need to be sleeved bored and stroked to achieve 2L

Lol Does it bother you that much? Fine 84mm Arias pistons.

I have the buddy club head package in my GSR. I have the spec IV with their dual valve springs, retainers, valves and cam gears. I loved the setup and I was on the stock bottom end so I am pretty sure you will love it.
