Well I'm in a situation where I'm considering the JDM B18C ITR Motor as my next Daily Driver.
I got a B18C1 Longblock laying around.

Need some advises:
#1) Buy the JDM ITR Motor 98-01 Spec.
or
#2) Rebuilt my Block N/A

Shooting for:
-Daily Drive
-Pump Gas
-Reliability
-Most Importantly keeping the COST $$$DOWN
-and 200+HP

Any and all suggestions and set-up's are welcome!

 

use ur GSR block, get these

1. P30 or Pr3/itr piston
2.arp rod bolts
3.tri y header Rage/profab/ect ect...
4.stage2 cams/ skunks/BC/Blox/ect .ect...
5.SKunk2/Blox/ manifold, port the runners and port match to head
6.68mm TB also port match

and if u have the money Get that head ported!!!! Combustion Contraption does good heads for reasonable price...flows around 270-280cfm good enough to get u 200whp or more.....

 

a JDM ITR motor is already at 200HP, unless you meant Wheels Horse power..

 

save ur money and build the gsr u already have.

 

calculating the costs $$ of the ITR I would rather go FI.

H2B. 200 whp easy, and very affordable.

 

rebuild the gsr block...
made 206 whp with rebuilt gsr block with p30 pistons, b16 head, bc4 cams...

 

Good luck smoging if you go FI, unless you got the hookup, what part of central cali you from?
