what would be a better engine? the dohc or the sohc?

would you have to modify anything to place the dohc in

the dohc motor... kids on here turbo em... but alot of kids throw an h22 in their cars or they jus keep the sohc engin n turbo it... cause f's have endless possiblities... I think there are sum write ups in the accord FAQ that could prolly help you a lil more than I could.

P28, but with any turbo setup u will need to do some fab work. the hardest part of the whole setup imo is routing ic piping, and mounting the ic. the rest was pretty simple and just requires the budget, and of corse basic automotive knowledge.. whatever u think ur budget is make sure you have double that amount for f-ups along the way or parts needing to be replaced when u get into it. i ended up doing a complete overhaul on my motor prior boost. (wanted it to last as long as possible) and jst look up a local turner in ur area in the i tuner directory and enjoy trust me, the power is amzing with boost. its almost as if it was meant for turbo. this was quoted off the "official f22 turbo thread" but these motors with boost preduce some crazy axle breaking torque !!!!

before i went w. boost i prep'd it for turbo, arp studs, fidanza fly, clutch, mild port and polish, etc. nothing done with the block or bottom end, imo nothing really amazing compared to some of the builds on here. all i was going for was fast but not crazy fast and what everyone that has converted honda dreams of ..... RELIABILITY !!!!

boost is best when the air is cooler/denser; therefore, a turbo-charged car should run a lot better in the winter than the summer.

dohc f22b ftw.. got mine for 700 shipped to my door, its out of a 93 (ish) prelude in japan, all you need to swap this motor in is a prelude (92-96) driver side motor mount.. fits right in no problem

Maybe is talking about hearing oil gum up from it being hot and losing heat real quick?

nope.. the only rewireing that was done was the external coil (accord) to internal coil on the distributer... it was like 2 wires and bam done.... but if you can id say stay with the external coil
